My sleep apnea journey

This is a diary of my experiences as a sleepy mom, through apnea diagnosis and treatment. I have appreciated the information I have learned on the internet and especially appreciate the personal accounts of other's journeys. Stay tuned, it will be a wild ride.

My husband and I have been married since 1989. We have a son ('95) and daughter ('97). We have another daughter in heaven since 2000. I am a stay at home mom with a current nursing license. I started this Photo-A-Day blog to document my family's everyday life and to challenge me to grow a bit as a photographer.

molar bands stink!

Okay, I got my molar bands on today. It took an hour of cramming those things on to find the right ones. Once they had them all on and I thought, "whew, I'm glad that's over", they jerk them all back off! They smoothed them down (sort of) and then cemented (crammed) them on. Then the wires were installed. Dr. H. and his staff are really sweet but I was pretty sore when I got out of the office. Chewing is no fun at all. My back molars don't touch and it feels like I have metal making contact with one of my molars. I have to offset my jaw a bit to be able to bite down. It will be a while before before I can chew. Mashed potatoes again.
