My sleep apnea journey

This is a diary of my experiences as a sleepy mom, through apnea diagnosis and treatment. I have appreciated the information I have learned on the internet and especially appreciate the personal accounts of other's journeys. Stay tuned, it will be a wild ride.

My husband and I have been married since 1989. We have a son ('95) and daughter ('97). We have another daughter in heaven since 2000. I am a stay at home mom with a current nursing license. I started this Photo-A-Day blog to document my family's everyday life and to challenge me to grow a bit as a photographer.

Changes?

I have been comparing my teeth to the plaster casting that the orthodontist gave me - I am seeing a difference but wondered if it was just wishful thinking. Well - today Gina, my occupational therapist said that she can tell a difference in my teeth. I didn't bring it up, she did! So, yea(!), maybe things are moving along. Had my first hamburger A.B. (after braces) today at lunch. It was a really good one too, not one of those little kiddie burgers from McD's. I had to eat it with a knife and fork but it was well worth it!

By the way, physical therapy is progressing. After 9 months of OT, my elbow is finally approaching where it was pre-injury. I don't think it is physically possible for it to regain fully-normal motion, but it is sooo much better than it has been. Gina's the bomb. I think she enjoys torturing me, but she gets results. I keep coming back.
